My Father My Light

My father was born into a declining landlord family in the 1940s. He lost his mother when he was five years old and his father when he was ten years old. He had been dependent on his grandmother and sister since he was a child. His grandmother also passed away when he was twelve. When he was thirteen, he married his mother because his sister, who was five years older than him, wanted to get married. One month later, he chose to leave home and become a mason's apprentice because he was too young and was afraid of marriage. At the age of twenty, he returned home and formally started a family with his mother, starting a new journey in his life. His life was very difficult, but he worked hard all his life. He is a light in our lives, he is ordinary and great.
