The restraint of the protagonist and Fumiko in this book prevented things from degenerating. The characters in "One Hundred Years of Solitude" initially wanted to escape from the fate, but finally returned to the origin of their fate due to the indulgence and depravity of future generations.
Perhaps the thoughts of people who have reached the level of Kawabata Yasunari and Marquez are relatively close, so some of the thoughts in the book are similar. But because the culture and environment are different, the forms of expression are different.
