The Master Has Terrible Luck

What does it feel like to be rejected by the world? No one understands better than Shirakawa Nashi.

Hoping to turn her luck around, she enrolled in the government affairs department, only for her very first mission to send her straight to hell, where she also lost the six swords who had accompanied her on the expedition. After working herself to the bone for a vicious demon wielding a spiked club and catching the cats who had escaped from her citadel, Shirakawa Nashi, a firm believer in the law of equal and opposite fortune, refused to be discouraged. Surely she'd have better luck next time.

Then she turned into a fox cub, with no memories, and started cuddling up to a group of swords she barely knew.

Shirakawa Nashi: The ultimate public humiliation. If possible, please don't let me wake up.

She escaped reality to loaf around in the modern world, enjoying a blissful life of watching tennis heartthrobs one day and handsome hosts the next. But her own swords caught her in the act, and the cats of her citadel were so furious that they ran away in the middle of the night.

Three hours later, they came hurrying back under the stars, bringing their own master along with them.

Shirakawa Nashi: You'd better have a good reason.

Faced with the host club her citadel had put everything into creating, Shirakawa Nashi picked the streamers off her face, wiped the snow spray from her hair, and pulled off her shoes, which were stuck fast to the floor with superglue. Like a battle-worn rose, she sighed.

You have to keep raising the cats you chose, even if you have to cry while doing it.
