Tales of Strange Gu

Gao Liangjiang is an ambitious corpse driver from Miaojiang. He once swore to Uncle Ashui that he would make the corpse-driving trade flourish. But on his very first solo journey to drive a corpse, trouble found him. What connection does the meowing, howling mute cat have to the Liu family, wiped out to the last member? How did a woman who seemed so gentle and beautiful turn into a monster that devours human flesh? And what caused the people in the village to suddenly die with their stomachs burst open? The truth seems on the verge of emerging with Liu Buxia's death, but when strange curse and gu techniques descend upon Lu Qinling and Gao Liangjiang, the truth is gradually swallowed by shadow once more. The eerie Miao village, the vicious Blood Infant Ghost Fiend, the fiercely contested Gu Battle, Xu Ani, who died after being falsely accused, the ties between the Liu, Lu, and Mo families, and the enormous tomb several of them discover after reaching the Kingdom of Loulan: only at the very end do they realize that the truth is simply a dream that could never come true.
