Synopsis

"Dream of the Sea" was written in the second year after the September 18th Incident, when Japan continued to accelerate its invasion of China, at a time of national crisis. In the novel, Ba Jin constructs a strange story like a fairy tale, which seems true and false, like a dream and fantasy, but truly reflects reality. The structure of the novel is unique. The first half, through the dictation of the heroine Rina, reproduces the heroic feats of "Yang" and the child who led the island slaves to resist the invaders; the second half, through Rina's diary, shows her rich inner world.

It is like a book that calls on everyone to stand up and resist, especially in the climax, the dilemma between faith and family affection, the transformation of characters, the compatibility of inner thoughts and themes. I like this book very much, it is like a magical world, full of imagination. I especially like the protagonist in "The Tower of Life". I admire his courage and persistence. Mr. Ba Jin's writing is very beautiful and very comfortable to read. These stories make me believe that as long as you have a dream, you can find your own sea.

I originally used it to listen to as background music at work, but as I listened to it, I couldn't help but start to look fishy. When I saw the diary part, I kept trying not to let the tears fall.
