Zhou Jinrong, whose pen name is Wu Ma, was born in Changshu City, Jiangsu Province in October 1954. He was drafted into the army in December 1972 and served successively as a soldier, ordnance officer and clerk of the 183rd Regiment of the 61st Division of the Army's 21st Group Army, squad leader, acting chief of staff, platoon leader, political office officer, instructor, instructor, and director of the political office. From December 1985 to June 1987, he went to Yunnan to participate in the defensive operations against Vietnam in the Laoshan area, and served as the instructor of the artillery battalion at that time.
In October 1992, he transferred to Taicang City, Jiangsu Province and served as deputy secretary of the town party committee, director of the Municipal Materials Bureau, deputy secretary of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, director of the Municipal Price Bureau, and director of the CPPCC Special Committee. He retired in October 2014.
