Harry Potter: The Slacker’s Handy Toolkit

Lyle transmigrated into the world of Harry Potter. His grandfather couldn't care less and just wanted to keep to himself, while his older sister was still little and clamoring for candy...

Voldemort: Interesting. Tell me your secret.

_Lyle: What secret?

Dumbledore: Why is Voldemort so interested in you?

_Lyle: Perhaps you should ask Voldemort, Professor.

Harry: Lyle is the best Slytherin I've ever met.

_Lyle: Well, I wouldn't go that far...

Malfoy (chin raised, looking proud): Lyle is a friend whom I, Malfoy, have approved.

_Lyle: Thanks, I guess???

Snape: Hmph

Lyle: Professor, times have changed. There's no future in being someone's tool like you.

Lyle has only one thing to say: What's wrong with being a tool? It's an honorable job! As long as you get the job done, who cares who's the tool? Besides, being a tool takes brains. A tool that doesn't slack off isn't a good tool.

A beginner's first attempt at writing.

Anything in the story that differs from the original is my own invention.

I like breaking up canon couples, not putting characters together. I'm not thin-skinned.
