The Story of Ruyi: The Dark Emperor and Empress

In his previous life, he was the ruler of a nation. Though an emperor, he was utterly powerless, like a puppet. He saw others make sacrifices, but never saw his own mistakes. No one understood his pitiful, tragic life, nor the grievances and fury in his heart.

Given another life, he will make these people understand who is the sovereign, who is the subject, who is the master!

She had only ever hoped for comfort and a life free from abuse. But because her features bore a slight resemblance to someone else's, and because she exchanged a few words with the emperor, she became the target of others' envy and was sent to the flower house. Later, when that woman provoked the empress by wearing a yellow peony banner dress and declaring, "The mistress of the harem is determined by the hearts of the people, not by outward appearances," she was dragged into the affair and subjected to two years of abuse.

Tragically, she was caught up in it and suffered abuse for two years. She repeatedly sought help from her childhood friend, only to hear, "I just got out of the Cold Palace. My position is unstable, and I can't risk getting you involved. Just endure it a little longer, and it'll pass."

With her heart completely frozen and all hope gone, the Son of Heaven came to her rescue, giving her light and hope, boundless affection and power. His words, "You have me behind you. You have nothing to fear," made her heart flutter. Like a fledgling, she grew attached to him, and soon fell so deeply in love that she could not pull herself free.

She will make everyone who humiliated or betrayed her pay, one by one. And she will show no mercy to anyone who tries to steal the man who is hers.

Yes, it turns out she was never one to tolerate the slightest offense. Her heart is pitifully small, with room for only one person. How could she let anyone take away the affection and love that were rightfully hers?
