The houses in the old district are like people who have been abandoned. The “Ciyou Mental Hospital” is only one of them, but a vast field of sunflowers stands alongside it. Ciyou means leaving one’s worries behind. The sunflowers are probably telling them to seek the light in their eyes, the light that can guide them. But the sunflowers cannot move; they cannot follow their sun. The patients are the same, abandoned and forgotten in this old hospital, unable to know what the future holds. This is a world of the mentally ill. They, too, want to escape and pursue what they desire, but the wall they must climb is far too high.
