The Village Doctor: The Most Beautiful Country Life

[Country Life] [Miracle Healer] [Farming] [Getting Rich] [Feel-Good Power Fantasy]

Yao Zhiyuan grew up in the town's orphanage and was the only person from this remote mountain region ever to get into Jing University.

Gifted from a young age, he was blessed with an extraordinary physique. At university, he studied medicine alongside archaeology. In his senior year, after returning from an archaeological dig with his advisor, Yao Zhiyuan became mentally impaired. The university then sent him away.

The orphanage had long since moved, and with nowhere else to turn, he settled in the abandoned temple where the head of the orphanage had found him as a child. The townspeople all laughed at him, calling him a foolish monk.

Whenever he left the temple, the townspeople would bully him.

Then one day, while he was being bullied, he met Lu Xiangning, a beautiful widow who had come to town to buy supplies. From then on, she looked after him.

But because the young and beautiful Lu Xiangning lived alone as a widow, the villagers often bullied her too. The worst offender was the local bully, who came by again and again, trying to take her by force. Every time, Lu Xiangning fought back with everything she had, risking her life.

By chance, Lu Xiangning accidentally broke the seal on him.

To protect her, Yao Zhiyuan devoted himself to mastering the Ninefold Heaven-Covering Art and the Herbal Medicine Compendium, which he had found by chance in the temple. Thus began his journey to turn his life around!

Before long, they became the richest people in Hongya Town, and Yao Zhiyuan doted on Lu Xiangning endlessly.

Seeing that everyone else was still living in poverty, the two decided to put the past behind them and help the whole community get rich.

Years later, Hongya Village became a national model for rural development!
