(There are lots of potential deal-breakers, so read with caution. There are also many [B]open[T] scenes. The heroine is barely present and her characterization isn’t great.) Her heart has grown calm and unshaken. All she wants is a peaceful life.
She keeps her heart firmly locked away, never imagining that a man named Li Huan would break through her defenses time and again. His eyes leave her utterly flustered.
Standing together, one is cool and aloof, the other alluring and captivating. If Li Huan is like the quiet, clear light of the moon, then Hua Si is like the fiery glow of the sunset.
Scene One: A Tender Conversation
Hua Si says, “I’m glad you’ve been patient enough to keep waiting for me. If one day I only realize it after the fact, and look back to find nothing but emptiness behind me, then I really will have missed my chance with you.”
Li Huan replies tenderly, “Then you should be glad that when you finally looked back, I was still behind you.”
Hua Si smiles through her tears. “Maybe I should have looked back more often. But even if you aren’t by my side this time, it doesn’t matter. I’ll give it everything I’ve got and win you back.”
Scene Two: A Guest Talks About Guanyin
The guest smiles. “I’m beyond redemption. I have everything now, yet I have nothing. What about you?”
The guest says, “This tea didn’t appear for no reason. You have an obsession in your heart, but don’t know how to resolve it. Why can’t the red-robed Guanyin painting by the entrance even show her face?”
The guest says, “You know Red Lead Tea is poisonous, yet you still drink it. Why? Isn’t that your obsession?”
The guest says, “Everyone says the owner of Cha Huan dotes on his wife, yet he has a painting of another woman hanging by the entrance.”
The guest curls their lips into a smile. “Obsession takes root, its roots grow deep, and what takes root will never die.”
Author, I advise you to be kind 😢 😢 I really like the pairing of Li and Hua. The recent plot makes me feel that the highs are high and the lows are low. Hua always wants to take on something for Li, but it always brings more trouble. One day, he is either stabbed or shot 😢
The heroine's writing is really speechless
I feel like the heroine is really not that good. She doesn't refuse anyone else's kiss. She really behaves like a social butterfly.
