Why did it end so hastily? I'm having fun watching it

The author is great, and the early stage is the same as other apocalyptic novels. The emotional transition between the male and female protagonists in the later period is okay. This book is so good. But why did it end immediately? What makes me so sad is that I didn't even see the details of them being together. There is also the heroine getting along with her sisters.
