Airheaded young master of the Chancellor’s household (Fu Chen Jing) × sickly adopted son who’s sweet on the outside and calculating within (Chu Qing Xing)
Fu Chen Jing has spoiled Chu Qing Xing ever since they were children. Even when Chu Qing Xing throws unreasonable tantrums, Fu Chen Jing is happy to indulge him. Later, they get together: one becomes even more willful, while the other becomes even more willing to coax him.
Chu Qing Xing is angry again today. Don’t ask why. It’s Fu Chen Jing’s fault, of course.
Having to drink medicine every day is annoying enough, and now Fu Chen Jing won’t even let him have dessert. His excuse: “If you eat too many sweets, you won’t have room for a proper meal.”
So what if the doctor said so? Whoever won’t give him sweets is to blame.
Chu Qing Xing huffed back to his room and quietly counted to himself. Just as he reached ten, the door opened, and Fu Chen Jing came in with a lotus-paste pastry in his hand.
Chu Qing Xing glared at him. He hadn’t expected Fu Chen Jing to take “one” so literally...
Fu Chen Jing held the pastry up to his lips, but Chu Qing Xing thought it was too little and refused to eat it. Fu Chen Jing tried every way he could to coax him, and finally promised to take him to the new pastry shop the family had opened the next day. Only then did Chu Qing Xing happily eat the pastry.
The next day, at the pastry shop, Chu Qing Xing had just reached for a pastry when Fu Chen Jing stopped him. Gripping both his wrists, he said, “I brought you here. I never said you could eat anything.”
Well, now he’d have to spend ages coaxing him all over again.
