This book vividly reproduces some major events during the Republic of China through the oral accounts of those who witnessed them. The author Li Yueqian was very careful in selecting materials, allowing us to have a more intuitive understanding of that period of history. I especially like the book's exposure of the crimes of the Japanese invaders, which can arouse our patriotic feelings. However, some events feel like they could have been described in more depth. Overall, it's a book worth reading.
