In an instance of the Era game set in Zhongzhou, the protagonist uses unconventional means (cheating) to kill a Saint, catching the attention of Nuwa, one of the main gods of Zhongzhou. To punish him, and to protect him, Nuwa uses a divine time-and-space technique to seal away his true body. When he awakens, he finds himself in a massive instance woven from human mythology: a world of immortal cultivation, where he has spent five lifetimes as an NPC. He wants to return to the main world of the Era game, regain his Chosen status, and save his world, the Land of the Unoffered. To do so, he must first kill a Chosen who bears the fortune of heaven and earth. But in the world of immortal cultivation, Chosen are the protagonists, and the main gods are watching him from above. He can't afford to let his true identity slip again. So he decides to have the main god of the Land of the Unoffered, who is hidden in his dream space, seal away all information and memories connected to it. He'll keep his head down and complete the arduous mission of going from NPC to Chosen!
