Feng Xuan: From Running Away to Becoming the Strongest

I first got into this series through the elementary-school manga, so this story is set in the manga's world.

I personally like tigers, and I also like the romance between Mu Zhu in the manga.

But the manga's portrayal of the Evil-Eyed White Tiger always felt pretty underwhelming to me. It doesn't feel like a top-tier Martial Soul at all. He gets beaten badly by the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon and only wins thanks to the Saint King's cheat. At least in the original, they were evenly matched, though the character gradually faded into the background in the later installments.

While wandering, Dai Mubai is poisoned by Dai Tian. The poison unexpectedly causes him to merge with the remnant soul of someone from another world (for those who've read the original but not the manga), giving him a modest understanding of that other world and a path to becoming stronger.
