This unit was established on the eve of the decisive battle in Northeast China. Although it has never been the main force, it also set foot on North Korea's soil together with other units in the 1950s. In 1951, they entered North Korea as a rotation unit, and then marched out of the 38th Parallel with friendly forces that spring. That summer, in the village that controlled the highway, they received the important task of blocking the northward advance of the mechanized US military. After a life-and-death battle, they defended the dignity of this young army with their blood and wrote their stories in the history of the Republic with their sacrifices.
