What does it mean to be a person unaffected by the outside world, with a constant inner temperature? In 2078, a solar helium flash crisis struck. The United Government was destroyed by rebels, and the underground cities of Europe, Asia, and North America soon brought the situation under control. The Southern Hemisphere, however, was different.
The underground city where Gaodun lived was controlled by Blue Command, cut off from UEG oversight and once again synonymous with chaos and violence. Some people wanted to escape, but the surface temperature was around minus 200 degrees.
Gaodun was among those who wanted to flee. Under the Command's harsh rule, every step was perilous.
No one knew that a crude device for inheriting memories held the escape plan of three generations of Gaodun's family, along with the changes to the Gaodun family's genetic chain in the wake of the helium flash.
