Global Mutation in the Apocalypse

The apocalypse, with no zombies, no pocket dimensions, no superpowers, and no stockpiling. In 2024, a meteor suddenly appeared out of nowhere and hurtled down from the sky. It sped past the military's interceptor missiles and landed smoothly on the ground. Scientists from around the world studied it for three months and found nothing unusual. Then one day, someone posted a video online titled, “My fever hit 40°C, and the next day I grew antlers.” It shot to the top of the trending list in no time. Before anyone had a chance to question it, almost everyone developed a fever at the same time, and a mass mutation began. At first, people didn't realize the danger, not until the 2026 global birth census report came out: in 2027, only ten thousand babies were born worldwide. Was humanity really on the verge of extinction? Order collapsed, nations disintegrated, and wars broke out... The unmutated called for reproductive freedom, while the mutated called for the survival of the human race. If you were unmutated, would you devote your life to reproduction for the sake of humanity's survival? If you were mutated, would you join an organization that forced others to give birth nonstop? The pacing is fairly slow. Comments are welcome...
