Aunt Shu Makes Her Fortune as a Carpenter

On her way home after taking the graduate school entrance exam, Su Yu passes an old mansion that gives her the creeps because of period dramas. In a ridiculous twist, she transmigrates to an unfamiliar dynasty and becomes an ignored concubine in a side courtyard. As a bonus, she gets a pair of children said to bring misfortune to both parents because they were born on an inauspicious day and month.

Su Yu is an engineering student with no literary talent, and she never reads transmigration novels. One day, she transmigrates to a dynasty she's never even heard of. She can't understand what people are saying or read their writing, and she's bedridden and unable to move, completely helpless. Luckily, her children don't mind, and the servants treat her kindly and do their best to care for her. Though the side courtyard is remote and desolate, the people are warm, and their kindness makes her deeply attached to this family.

Since she's here, she might as well make the best of it. Looking at the frail children, Su Yu decides she must work hard to earn money and give them a good life. But how can a helpless invalid under house arrest make a better life for them?
