No System, no cheats, a somewhat slow start, and a focus on relationships. This is not a power fantasy.
An ensemble cast
The previous two versions focused too heavily on themes and worldbuilding, which affected the plot. I hope more readers will enjoy this updated third version. The story is currently in Volume Two; Volume Three is still the second version.
The Human Realm has no king.
It has become a battleground where the God King and Demon King fight over territory.
A child of ordinary talent
mysteriously finds his way to the Netherworld, where he learns the power of souls.
With the support of his teacher and companions, he grows stronger.
He sets out on an adventure and ascends to the throne of the Netherworld.
From the body of the Netherworld King, he watches over the Human Realm,
until the king of the Human Realm rises once more.
