1978: Knock on the Door, Sister-in-Law

When he woke up, Wang Xuan only wanted to get some stomach medicine to ease his stomachache, but somehow he ended up in 1978.

When he saw with his own eyes that his mansion had turned into a small apartment, Wang Xuan accepted the fact that he had been reborn.

He had thought that with tens of thousands of books at home, he could comfortably make a living by rewriting old works.

He'd get in good with the government, join the Writers' Association, take the civil service exam, and become a workplace big shot.

But things didn't go as planned. From the start, all it took was asking for two steamed buns to stave off hunger.

He helped his sister-in-law with a small favor, only to offend someone he shouldn't have.

Good equals evil? Isn't it just a matter of whoever has the bigger fist getting to define it?

I was a decent man, but alas, my feelings weren't deep enough!
