The Ethereal Records of the Nine Provinces

Xuezhou in the Northern Domain, a realm of bitter cold. Ice and snow lie deep, darkness reigns, the wilderness is frozen, and life withers.

Huo Zhou in the Western Domain, a realm of scorching heat. Blistering wastelands stretch far and wide, and heretical cults run rampant. Bone-eroding heat waves consume everything.

Yan Zhou in the east, a realm of exile. Wicked bandits and vengeful ghosts make their home here. Morality and conscience have vanished; only strength decides everything.

Yan Zhou in the south, a realm of savagery. Long untouched by civilization, it is overrun by giant beasts and ravaged by witchcraft and poison.

Then there is the realm of bliss in Xiongzhou, buried deep underground. Eighteen levels of purgatory, eighteen levels of paradise, cycling endlessly. The boundary between suffering and pleasure has disappeared; it is impossible to tell whether one is happy or in pain.

The Great Void of Xu Zhou steals from yin and yang, drifting above the Nine Heavens in the empty sky and watching over everything in the mortal world.

The Dragon Sea of Yuan Zhou. Primordial dragons churn beneath its dark waters, while ancient turtle-crocodiles roam its vast depths.

The Forgotten Realm of Man Zhou lies hidden on a remote island in the Eastern Sea. Few ever venture there; it is mysterious and unknowable.
