Storms over Tugang

There was a small village, with a rise of earth behind it where a family named Wang lived. No one in the family knew when they had arrived there to make a living, or where their ancestral home was. Some said it was Hebei, others said Shandong. Some claimed their ancestors had come as officials, while others said they had come begging for food. Even the oldest member of the Wang family did not know where they had come from. He only knew that they had lived there for more than a dozen generations, weathering many storms together.

Through the hard work of several generations and after weathering countless storms, the family eventually grew into one of considerable achievement.
