In the Immortal Realm, there was a girl named Luyu. She had once been a sunflower, diligently tending to the propagation of sunflowers in the human world under the guidance of her mother, the Sunflower.
One day, she descended to the mortal realm and met a scholar. They were drawn to each other, then went their separate ways. They were merely passing visitors in each other's lives. Every person and every immortal has their own pursuit, and a truth or principle they spend their life seeking. To uphold these principles, they are destined to sacrifice certain things.
Luyu's journey is long. Though an immortal, she often wanders the human world, unable to see through the tangled passions of love, hatred, anger, and infatuation. Luyu is simply Luyu, come from the human world and searching for a way forward, lost and uncertain. Everyone has a place they are meant to return to. Luyu is still searching for hers.
