Xunzi once said, "Learning must never cease."
Han Yu's Essay on the Teacher also says, "A teacher is one who transmits the Way, imparts knowledge, and resolves doubts."
But now a young man has risen from the countryside. He roams the world, experiences the ways of mortal life, and savors the mundane. From a fragile blade of grass, he comprehends the laws of nature. Seated atop a lofty mountain, he enjoys the cool breeze, converses with heaven and earth, and suddenly grasps the Great Way of Creation.
He needs no one to be his teacher. He can comprehend everything on his own. None of the people are his teachers, yet all living beings seem to be.
This is inheritance, and also a cycle of reincarnation. How will the young man find firm footing in this turbulent world and forge the Great Way of the Heavens through his own efforts?
