Jiang Ning nods and leaves in disappointment.

Shen Yiyao: I really am the worst. Jiang Ning liked me so much…

Not long after, the entertainment news headline reads:

Top-tier star Jiang Ning suspected of secretly loving a rising tech tycoon for three years!

Shen Yiyao: What? Impossible! Those three years were obviously when she and I were promoting our couple image!

Couple shippers: The real-life doomed couples we shipped back then.

Later

Some of the fans who’d stood by their ship suddenly realize

that they might… be getting fed sweet moments again?

Couple shippers: I won’t eat these manufactured sweets from promotional campaigns!

The ship may be fake, but the treats are so sweet!

Shen Yiyao: Who says it’s fake?

Jiang Ning: The first half was a falsehood, but the second half…
