Sickly-Sweet Obsession

[Both leads are inexperienced in love + Long-planned pursuit + Reunion after years apart + Sweet, teasing romance]

[Foxlike girl VS a seemingly proper, refined scoundrel]

When Zhuang Li was seventeen, she met a boy who seemed almost divine. He was the unattainable dream of every girl at school.

Zhou Lian was tall and slender, with a face so exquisite that any woman could fall for him. Even a simple white shirt and black trousers looked effortlessly stylish on him.

He was courteous and polite to everyone. His seemingly detached, desireless manner made people think there was no one who could ever catch the eye of Mr. Zhou.

But that summer, he barged into Zhuang Li’s life with almost obsessive determination, stirring up the still waters of her existence.

Zhou Lian stared at her, his eyes bloodshot. “Don’t you dare regret this.”

No one knew the story of Zhou Lian and Zhuang Li.

Just when she thought things would stay this way for the rest of her life…

One day, while interning at an accounting firm, Zhuang Li began tapping a wooden fish out of boredom:

“One tap to clear the mind and wake you up.”

“Two taps to keep you going without getting tired.”

“Three taps…”

The new deputy general manager looked down at Zhuang Li, slumped in her chair. The moment their eyes met, memories flooded back into her mind, and Zhuang Li fell for him all over again.

Only then did she realize, a little too late, that forgetting him really was going to be difficult!

Later, she learned that no matter how many times she got another chance, she would always fall for him without hesitation.

Love drifts from east to west, but romance endures until death.
