After waking up unexpectedly, he is roused by a big orange cat that can talk. At first, he thinks he must still be dreaming. But then he discovers that he is in the future, where the world has changed beyond recognition. All manner of strange creatures and curiosities from past and present, East and West, have gained independent consciousness and unique abilities: pet cats and dogs, pigs, sheep, cattle, and horses awaiting slaughter, and wild insects, birds, and ferocious beasts. These awakened creatures are known as Sacred Spirits. Humanity in the new world has awakened a new ability too: controlling the consciousness of these creatures. But the male lead, who has transmigrated here, has no abilities at all. How will he survive in this new world's dark forest, amid the schemes and betrayals between humans, between humans and Sacred Spirits, and between Sacred Spirits themselves?
