Gong Xinye, the sect leader of the Gongxin Sect, married Ling Wuye, the master of the Lingshan Sect. Seven days after their wedding night, Gong Xinye became pregnant. When the time came, she gave birth to a daughter named Gong Xinxian.
Five years later…
Disciples of the Gongxin Sect slaughtered countless demons. The Demon King Shangguan Feng burned with rage at the massacre and summoned a hundred thousand demon soldiers, leading them in an attack on the Gongxin Sect.
Gong Xinye led a hundred thousand disciples into battle. The masters of the other sects joined the fight, and after battling the Demon King for a day and a night, both sides were grievously wounded. Ling Wuye, the master of Lingshan, conjured a sword and seized an opening to fly at his enemy. He was spotted and struck away with a palm blow. His spiritual core shattered, and he dissolved into a pale red light.
After the Demon King Shangguan Feng was defeated, the people cheered. Gong Xinye went into seclusion to cultivate.
After she emerged from seclusion,
Gong Xinye was framed for stealing a cultivation manual. Her own younger sister, Gong Xinshan, publicly crippled her martial arts and stabbed her in the immortal core.
