A haughty little fox spirit vs. a fake Taoist priest
Zhuyu sets out into the human world at her father’s command to find her brother Hu San, who has caused a colossal disaster. By chance, she meets Gu Qingming, a Taoist priest who hunts demons.
A demon and a human, helping each other through danger.
Zhuyu, Zhuyu: in her eyes, the face of the demon clan matters more than anything. That was her original reason for entering the mortal world.
Meeting Gu Qingming was beyond anything she had expected.
He was like a ticking time bomb. Whenever he appeared before Zhuyu, disaster was sure to follow.
[An inescapable hardship]
“Little Qing, don’t be sad. Perhaps after you’ve lived a hundred years, I’ll consider taking you with me.”
Gu Qingming hesitated, then said, “I...”
Would the gulf between humans and demons always be impossible to cross?
“I’ll be the first to cross it.” Whenever Gu Qingming had that thought, a voice beside him would remind him, “Impossible. You wouldn’t be willing to abandon your people and spend your life with a creature everyone considers a monster.”
Fox spirits live long lives, while a human lifespan is but a fleeting moment to them, gone in the blink of an eye.
Zhuyu: “My mission is complete, so our fate ends here.”
Gu Qingming: “I refuse.”
Perhaps stubborn people have a destiny of their own.
And so the ending is impossible to predict.
Come take a look!
