(Vampire royal family civil war + mystery and revenge + fallen noble princess + unhinged hero + heroine pursues him early on + hero’s all-consuming love later + devoted yandere couple + happy ending)
Luo Lan is a princess of the State of Luo, and at first she has more riches and luxuries than she could ever use. But when six nations go to war, a misstep by Luo leaves it a casualty of the conflict. From birth, Luo Lan has had magical blood. Whoever obtains it can master the greatest martial arts and unite the six nations. While being hunted, she is abducted by Leng Feng, the emperor of the State of Leng, who is determined to keep her until he has mastered the divine art.
He has no love for her. He imprisons and violates her, even risking her life to make her bear a child, all so he can use her to unite the country.
She would rather die than live, and wants only to escape him, restore her State of Luo, and unite the realm so the common people can live in peace.
She flees, he pursues, and she has no way out. As her life hangs by a thread, the usually proud and aloof man gently strokes her cheek and asks humbly, “Whatever you want, I’ll help you make it happen. So please, come back to me, all right?”
