Ten Thousand Swords Return to the Ruins

A mediocre young man loses his parents to an inexplicable death when he is still a child. After years of hard study, he still cannot even pass the lowest civil service exam. The childhood friend who is the only person who cares about him also drifts further away as she pursues the path of cultivation.

Never one to accept his fate, the young man gazes at the vast, misty river and, for the first time, thinks of throwing himself in. But a voice stops him.

From that day on, the world loses a scholar in a square cap and gains a young man with a sword on his back.
