As an elite special forces officer and doctor with the Doomsday Security Bureau, Chen Xi figured that transmigrating into a family too poor to afford food was bad enough. Why did she also have to get saddled with a mute, simple-minded husband?
Chen Xi leads her whole family on a journey to escape famine. Along the way, they face bandits, warfare, cannibalism, and one crisis after another. Luckily, she has a pocket dimension, though she never takes care to hide her supplies from her mute husband.
At last, they settle down, and Chen Xi decides to ditch him and find herself a new love.
But the mute won’t have it. He can talk now, and he’s not a fool either. He corners her against the wall. “I am none other than Prince Rui! You think you can dump me? Not a chance!”
