Yuxi looked at the clean, delicate little bundle before him, so pitiful that it made his heart ache.
This was the very little brat who only knew how to whimper, yet in the novel had torn apart the present-day version of him and devoured his power.
(Yuxi had never imagined, no matter how carefully he planned, that he would transmigrate into a book, and into a novel written by his childhood friend at that!)
“Immortal Lord, Xuannie is hungry,” the little bundle said innocently, eyes glistening with tears.
“Don’t call me Immortal Lord.” Yuxi took out the peach blossom pastries he had been saving for ages and stuffed one into the little bundle’s mouth without hesitation.
“Then what should I call you...?” the little one asked indistinctly.
“Call me Master.” Yuxi thought of the male lead’s deranged behavior in the original story, then looked at the little bundle, whose face was covered in pastry crumbs and who only cared about eating. He patted the child’s head and spoke gravely.
Anything but Immortal Lord. In the original story’s finale, every time this little bundle said “Immortal Lord,” it was followed by a deadly attack.
Yuxi had wanted to complain while reading, but the little bundle was harmless for now, so he thought he could lie low a little longer.
The little bundle said nothing. Feeling a blankness inside, he lowered his lashes, which trembled slightly and concealed the confusion in his eyes. He thought, We’ve already made physical contact, so why is my mind-reading still not working?
To be honest, Yuxi really wanted to let go and run away. After all, his character in the original story was the only surviving creator god in this world. What couldn’t he do?
But could he? No! He had been forcibly bound to System No. 001, which claimed to have originated in this world. Whenever he even had such a thought, the System would issue him a warning.
