[Historical fantasy + supernatural elements + strong heroine]
She is the only legitimate daughter of the Marquis of Zhen Guo's household, and also the goddess Liuguang, who died seventeen years ago. Though gifted, she has no ambition. She thought she could coast through life in the imperial capital of Dajian on the strength of her status as the marquis's daughter, but she never expected misfortune to strike, or that people would repay her kindness with cruelty. An imperial decree appoints her as an investigating censor, and she is ordered to set out for the faraway southern frontier. But that dark-faced fox not only wants to use her, he shamelessly wants to marry her and make her his princess consort. He must be out of his mind!
“I won't use divine power today. I'll duel you with swords instead. The winner gets to call the shots. If I lose, I'll take your surname!” Yuan Zhenzhen declared confidently, certain of victory.
Xie Yu gave a wicked smile. “My princess consort will naturally take my surname. That wager of yours... doesn't count.”
