Any Doomsday Zombie Stories Where the Protagonist Lies Flat and Isn't a Goody-Two-Shoes?

When the zombie apocalypse struck, my parents and I hid in our renovated villa. Gunshots rang out nonstop outside. I even heard men roaring and women crying for help, but I didn't dare open the door and play the selfless hero. I'm not some all-powerful protagonist. I just want to survive with my parents.
