"The Rise and Fall, Joys and Sorrows of Kaimuse and His Contemporaries, Part One"
I pass through the covered bridge,
While the sky hangs but a yard above.
The wind stirs the clouds into waves,
Yet the sturdy bridge keeps me safe.
I know not what my hooves tread upon,
And calmly, I never sink.
I laugh and sing my way onward,
Until tears of sorrow surge at the end.
"The Rise and Fall, Joys and Sorrows of Kaimuse and His Contemporaries, Part Two"
I regret my mistakes, yet blame my friends;
The contemptible are ashamed to know me.
My evil deeds bring tears to all,
My lawless ways bring sorrow to all.
I have wandered the skies so long that I am startled to remember,
Half a lifetime of hatred, mired in a pond of filth.
I began to do good, though my smiles were few;
Unashamed to atone, I still have feelings to spare.
With time, the world rejoices and all are glad,
Yet no one forgets his deeds, and all mourn him.
