I Became a Minor Antagonist in a Xianxia Novel

Shi Yan never imagined that one day she, too, would transmigrate, let alone into the xianxia tragedy she had written on a whim in middle school, where she became a nameless nobody under the command of the villainous boss. At first, Shi Yan thought it was just a job. If she couldn’t do it well, she’d simply lie flat. But she hadn’t expected that in the villain’s world, lying flat meant getting yourself killed. To stay alive, Shi Yan vowed to make the most of her corporate-slave work ethic. So she trained in immortal arts, learned to fly, and steadily rose through the villain’s ranks. At last, when she was strong enough to match the boss, she suddenly realized that she had become an even bigger boss who appeared out of nowhere in the original story. Ugh, the male and female leads falling in love was none of her business. She just wanted to go to work, slack off, and stay alive. That was what mattered. But just then, the System appeared. The System said, “You’re the boss. You have to go and make trouble for the protagonist.” Shi Yan: “I just want to lie flat.” The System: “If you lie flat, you’ll never get back.” Shi Yan: “…” “To hell with your lousy System! You were nowhere to be seen when I needed you, and now that I’ve become a god, you show up just to run your mouth? Other systems hand out all kinds of golden fingers, while you just dig a hole for me. I’m done putting up with you.” The System: “Fine, you win.”
