Grandpa's War

Hao Chen had not returned for a long time to the place where he had lived as a child, a place that held his childhood memories. On a quiet afternoon, the listless Hao Chen could not tell whether he was dreaming or had transmigrated, but he found himself in the era of the war his grandfather had fought in.

Completely out of place, Hao Chen found himself among ordinary soldiers in a setting that was not even considered a second-line unit. In harsh conditions, each of these unremarkable fighters grew step by step, until they fell in battle, having become true soldiers.

Back in a familiar setting, Hao Chen was overwhelmed by conflicting emotions. As he silently changed, he found himself missing his grandfather.
