I Torment Jerk Men and Loot the National Treasury, Leaving the Heroine in Tears and Me on Top!

The Jiang family has produced chief councilors for three generations and is a renowned clan in the capital. The eldest legitimate daughter, Jiang Rou, is said to be in poor health. Though the late emperor arranged her marriage to the crown prince years ago, she spends her days hidden in her chambers. No one outside knows what the Jiang family’s legitimate daughter looks like, what her temperament is, or what talents she possesses. By contrast, the concubine-born Jiang Ling'er became famous throughout the capital after she and her elder sister fell into the water together. Whether for her shocking advocacy of equality between men and women, her exceptional talent for poetry and the arts, or her innocent, lively nature and disregard for society’s rules as she lives freely, the difference between the two seems as vast as heaven and earth.

But then everything takes a turn. After the crown prince breaks off his engagement to Jiang Rou for Jiang Ling'er, Jiang Rou begins to reveal her brilliance. Whether it is her peerless beauty as the legitimate daughter, the impeccable manners of a great noble family, or her belief that sincere love must not be betrayed, the two sisters prove to be opposites in every way.

One believes she is a woman who transmigrated from another world, looks down on everyone, and is always haughtily condescending. The other has returned from the dead, armed with knowledge of everything that lies ahead. Watch the two Jiang sisters struggle through the tangled battles of the inner household, fighting each other to the death.

Jiang Rou: “I never believed in fate. But though I don’t believe in the twists and turns of destiny, there are always exceptions when you live in this mortal world. I was reborn to avenge the wrongs of my past life.”

Jiang Ling'er: “I transmigrated here, and I can’t stand those noble young ladies, all prim and proper, like soulless puppets on strings. What’s the point of living a life like that? I can’t stand this distinction between legitimate and concubine-born children. The ancients were terrifying: ignorant, foolish, and dull.”
