This book gave me a deeper understanding of that period of history. The author used his personal experience to describe the cruelty of war and the bravery of his comrades, which made me admire him very much. Just like my grandfather, he is also a veteran of the War to Resist U. S. Aggression and Aid Korea. Every time I hear him talk about that experience, I can feel his love for the motherland. This book is not only a record of history, but also a tribute to the heroes who have served the country and the people. It makes us understand that today's peace is hard-won, and we must cherish the present and work hard.
