This was the last chapter of China's feudal society. The Qing Empire, which ruled the Han, Manchu, Mongolian and Hui Tibet empires, had a territory nearly four times that of the late Ming Dynasty. From the perspective of the entire empire, the Qing Dynasty used Manchuria, which had a high level of Han culture, as an intermediary to connect Mongolia and the Central Plains. It also used Mongolia as an intermediary to connect the snowy plateau and western Xinjiang with the entire empire.
