A bout of searing pain jolted Chu Xiu awake. His mind was hazy, and all he could see was darkness.
“So people like me really do go to hell when we die...”
Chu Xiu murmured to himself, wanting to open his eyes and see what hell looked like. But the pain was too intense, and he passed out again.
When he woke once more, everything around him had changed.
Chu Xiu was lying facedown on a bed when an old man entered the room. According to his memories, this was his grandfather, the only family he had left and the person who had raised him.
“Grandpa, my back really hurts.”
“It’ll be better soon. Birthmarks are like that. They’ll stop moving eventually...”
Though he had come back to life, everything around him seemed strange. Chu Xiu could only keep his head down and focus on growing stronger. He never expected to die again after just one day...
Come on. . . .
Looks good, come on
