Playing Minecraft in the Apocalypse

“Apocalypse” + “MC” + “global survival” = “?”

The whole world is pixelated.

For the first seven days, everyone scrambles to develop, fighting among themselves and living in fear.

On the eighth day, the blood moon appears, and waves of monsters engulf everything.

On the twenty-second day, the ground begins to collapse. No one knows where the earth will suddenly turn into a void and swallow everything above it.

On the thirty-sixth day, a tsunami arrives, shrinking the habitable areas of the world to the bare minimum.

Qin Yanxi, meanwhile, has blocks that let him respawn endlessly. He simply stays in the starting area, now pixelated, quietly developing his strength. Everything happening outside has nothing to do with him.

Objectively speaking:

1. The pacing is all over the place. Sometimes it drags, sometimes it races ahead.

2. Updates are sporadic. There are unavoidable factors, but that’s no excuse.

3. The author keeps adding and then removing a bunch of settings, making it feel like filler.

4. The background has a major flaw: ordinary people are proficient with every weapon, from knives and spears to swords and halberds.

5. Another major flaw in the background: the regions are a complete mess. Why not just use latitude and longitude?

6. The writing is average, just barely passing.

7. There are some clever ideas now and then, but a flower stuck in cow dung isn’t going to attract anyone.

All in all, it’s a dish that’s hard to swallow, but just about filling enough to keep you going.
