Please read with caution. The protagonist is very timid and weak from the start. When the ash-gray foal raised his head from the embers of the Everfree Forest and was taken in by Princess Celestia, the flames of fate were already alight. He was named Ember Hoof and grew up under her loving care beneath Canterlot’s starlight, yet his origins and unusual magic soon let him glimpse the shadows beneath the nobility’s crown.
The flames of Hogwarts awakened at his hooves, a shield to protect others and a wildfire capable of consuming all. His friendship with the M6 once shone like warm sunshine, but cracks slowly appeared as “equality” and “order” pulled them apart. When cries from the southern granaries shattered the dream of harmony, and the darkness of the Crystal Empire reflected the rot of privilege, Ember Hoof finally raised his flames. He meant to burn away injustice, yet amid the fires of war, he watched the warmth of the past turn to scorched earth.
Mother and son turned against each other, close friends became strangers, and Equestria was divided by the clash of flame and holy light. Then, when the fatal magic arrow came, he used his body to shield Princess Celestia from it all. His final “I’m sorry” faded into the smoke of war.
The flames died out, but the remnant stars remained. Canterlot’s reconstruction erased many names, yet in the mists of the Everfree Forest, it still seems that a foal keeps watch over a small, undying flame, waiting for a long-overdue “It’s okay” that will cross the boundary between life and death.
