Su Ran, a veterinarian, transmigrates to the interstellar era and discovers that humans have become an endangered species in need of protection, while animals have long since evolved into intelligent beastmen. Broke and with no other choice, he starts a full-immersion livestream, where he unexpectedly finds a haughty little white tiger cub named Leon. Who could have guessed this feisty little cub was the crown prince of the interstellar empire?
To raise the cub well, Su Ran searches abandoned space stations for food, uses his Earth veterinary skills to treat beastmen cubs, and takes in a mechanical cub named Xiao Xing to help repair machinery and find information. In the livestream, viewers watch this fragile human awkwardly feed a top-tier beastman and recharge an ancient mechanical life-form. Their initial mockery turns into daily tune-ins: “Did Prince Leon get clingy today? What strange thing has Xiao Xing taken apart this time?”
But as the livestream grows popular, trouble follows. Mysterious forces covet the cubs' abilities, beastman nobles look down on humans, and Leon can no longer hide his royal identity. Su Ran can only soothe the bristling white tiger while directing Xiao Xing to unravel conspiracies, all while using Earth's “parenting philosophy” to change the way the whole interstellar world thinks.
It turns out that whether they're beastmen, mechanical life-forms, or endangered humans, in the face of love and companionship, they're all just “cubs” who need to be cared for.
The pace is so fast. When I read Chapter 12, I felt like I had read the outline of a book.
