Perched in the Floating World

[World-Weary Girl + Gentle Boy + Healing + Secret Crush]

The girl's gaze was always haughty and untouchable. Her careless, mocking laugh was a shield; she sheltered beneath it, keeping herself safe.

Then one day, a boy barged into her world without asking, gentle yet forceful, as if he wouldn't accept a refusal.

At first, she gave a careless, mocking laugh. “Idiot, you're imagining things. I'm perfectly fine.”

Later, when she daydreamed, her thoughts were no longer of the things that had once imprisoned her. Instead, she secretly wondered about all the possibilities between the two of them.

And then, held tightly in his arms, she clutched the fabric at his side and said, “Shengsheng, let's be together!”

His arms trembled around her. He took a deep breath and softly said one word: “Okay.”

We were meant to be together. Now is neither too early nor too late. It's just right.

I like you, and it's not for any other reason. If it's you, I'll never turn away.
