A Love Story from the Year of Heavy Snowfall

The only thing in this world that can make both body and spirit immortal and carry them into heaven is a love that lasts until death. His name is Fang Zihan, though she also calls him Yihang. Her name is Yang Yang, though he also calls her Manlin. Fang Zihan and Yang Yang are their real names in everyday life; Yihang and Manlin are the names they gave each other. When they are alone, he doesn't call her Yang Yang. He calls her Manlin, again and again, and she answers each time, her heart brimming with joy. When they are alone, she rarely calls him Yihang. She is always terribly shy, and he has to coax her endlessly before she'll say it. He lives on the southern bank of the river, while she lives on the northern shore. They aren't classmates or colleagues, and they're not related. With such different lives and careers, they should never have had a chance to know each other. Yet some unseen force of fate bound them tightly together. And once connected, they would stay that way for a lifetime.
