A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality, Cultivation, Human Nature
This is a tale of survival about a protagonist who obtains a first-grade magical treasure capable of uncovering every secret.
Li Anning transmigrates to a parallel-world Ming dynasty. He is plain-looking and not particularly bright. His one advantage is that he can take over from his father as a member of the Jinyiwei, giving him a secure job for life. Every Jinyiwei member also receives the authentic manual, The Celestial Immortal Art, to cultivate immortal techniques. With good luck, they might even live forever.
Li Anning’s ancestor, Li Weiqi, has been honored by generations of descendants in a family shrine of his own. One day, while Li Anning is cleaning the shrine on the first and fifteenth of the month, his ancestor manifests and bestows upon him The Heavenly Mirror Treasure Record.
